Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh has invited online applications for 242 Senior Residents, Resident Anaesthetists, Resident Pathologists, CMO, Demonstrators, Medical Officers, Lady Medical Officers, Emergency Medical Officers, and Junior Residents (MBBS & BDS) posts on a tenure basis. The last date to submit online applications is 28/10/2026 up to 04:00 PM. Application fee is ₹250 for SC candidates and ₹500 for all other categories (PwD and UT Chandigarh employment exchange sponsored candidates are exempt).

Eligibility
Candidates must possess MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, DNB, M.Ch, D.M, or M.Sc.(Medical) in the concerned specialty, registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council, with relevant internship completion as applicable.

- NoteMax age is 45 years for Senior Residents, Resident Anaesthetist, Resident Pathologist, CMO; 37 years for Demonstrators, EMO, Medical Officers (GMCH & MHI); and 30 years for Junior Resident (MBBS & BDS). Age relaxations applicable as per rules.

Pay scale
Senior Resident/CMO/Resident Anaesthetist/Resident Pathologist: Rs. 67,700/- (Level-11) + NPA @ 20%; Demonstrator: Rs. 53,100/- (Level-9); EMO/MO/LMO/Junior Resident: Rs. 56,100/- (Level-10) + allowances.
Selection process
Selection will be based on a Written Test followed by an Interview.
