CampusPing ("we", "us", or "our") is a student super-app for Madhya Pradesh university and college students, operated by Parshva Web Solutions, Bhopal, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the CampusPing mobile app and website at campusping.com. By using CampusPing, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the app: Account and profile • Mobile phone number (for WhatsApp OTP login) • Name, university, college, course, year, and semester • Date of birth (when provided) • Profile photo (optional — uploaded from your camera or gallery) • Preferred language (English or Hindi) App usage and features • Push notification token (FCM) to deliver alerts and updates • Device session identifier to keep one active login per account • GK quiz attempts, streaks, game scores, and leaderboard participation • CP Wallet balance, coin transactions, and referral activity • Saved alerts, vacancies, scholarships, and study materials • Support tickets and messages you send to us • Subscription and payment status Payment information • Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive transaction IDs, plan details, and payment status. We do not store your card, UPI PIN, or full bank account details. Automatically collected • Basic device and app information needed to operate the service (e.g. app version, session data) • Cached content stored locally on your device for offline access
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Authenticate your account via WhatsApp OTP • Personalize content for your university, college, course, and year • Send push notifications for alerts, results, timetables, and updates • Process subscriptions and payments • Operate CP Wallet, referrals, and rewards • Provide customer support • Improve app performance, security, and features • Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate CampusPing: • Supabase (self-hosted at db.campusping.com) — database, authentication sessions, and file storage • Meta WhatsApp Cloud API — sending OTP messages for login • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications • Razorpay — payment processing • Infrastructure providers that host our servers We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and profile data while your account is active. OTP codes expire within 10 minutes and are deleted after verification. You may request account deletion from the app (Settings → Remove Account) or via our contact form at https://campusping.com/contact — select "Account & data deletion". We will remove or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it for legal, security, or billing reasons.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work continuously to safeguard your information.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can: • Update your profile information in the app • Change notification permissions in your device settings • Switch language between English and Hindi in app settings • Log out from your account at any time • Contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal data where applicable under Indian law If you disable notifications, you may miss important university alerts and updates.
8. Children
CampusPing is intended for university and college students, generally aged 17 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may link to external websites (university portals, job applications, scholarship forms, PDFs). Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at https://campusping.com/privacy-policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of CampusPing after changes means you accept the updated policy.
